Ovulation Induction

Ovulation induction is a general term that is used to describe an intervention that causes the ovaries to produce eggs. One reason to induce ovulation is to treat women who have anovulatory cycles or PCO which means that they do not ovulate naturally. Another reason to induce ovulation is to induce the development of multiple eggs for treatment such as IVF. Several types of medications are available to achieve ovulation induction.
