When undergoing treatment through a third party program, patients can expect to have a customized guidance and third party reproduction resources. Firstly, they will meet with one of our fertility specialists to develop a plan that suits your needs and then you will be assisted throughout your journey by a third party coordinator and nursing team who will put that plan into action.
Navigating the Canadian requirement and legislation for egg or sperm donation and gestational surrogacy can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. IVF Canada can streamline the process and help you in every step of your plan to parenthood.
All appointments will be scheduled for patients as need and a clearly outlined fee will be provided. IVF Canada offers full support for heterosexual couples, LGBTQIA+ couples, single moms, and single dads.
Egg donation is a fertility treatment option for people who, for various reasons, are unable to become pregnant using their own eggs. There are many reasons why a woman may not be able to use her own eggs to conceive a child and, in some cases, the woman may not have any eggs to use.
Some couples or individuals often have to find an egg donor who is known to you, either through family or friends, who is willing to offer their eggs as an altruistic donation.
Couples or individuals may now select an egg donor to have eggs transferred to IVF Canada where they can undergo the selected procedure.
IVF Canada works with reputable fertility centres in the United States and can assist with your patient care and treatment.
Some individuals or couples may require the use of donor sperm to achieve a pregnancy. IVF Canada accepts donor sperm from several national certified sperm banks where donors are appropriately screened and the sperm is quarantined.
In the case of a known donor (i.e., a friend or family member), in accordance with Health Canada and the Processing and Distribution of Semen for Assisted Conception Regulations, certain requirements are mandatory before the donated sperm can be used.
Gestational surrogacy is when a women carries and delivers a child, she is not genetically related to a couple or individual.
A gestational surrogate may be known (possibly relatives or friends who volunteer to carry the pregnancy) or unknown, introduced through a third party, to the couple or individual.
Since it is illegal to pay for surrogacy services or to advertise to pay for surrogacy services in Canada, our Third Party Coordinator will provide guidance and resource to achieve the goal of gestational surrogacy.
