Dr. Henry Cheng, Medical Director of IVF Canada
Dr. Cheng received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Toronto in 1978.
He completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Manitoba in 1982.
He was a fellow of the Medical Research Council of Canada between 1982-1986 and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1986.
He went to the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia to learn In Vitro Fertilization technology in 1986.
He returned to Ontario to practice medicine with a major component of his practice devoted to infertility treatment.
He joined the Peel Memorial Hospital which later amalgamated with the Etobicoke General hospital to become the William Osler Health System and continue to be an active staff member.
He was the Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of these hospitals from 1995-2005.
He is a founding partner of the Reproductive Care Centre ( previously named ISIS Regional Fertility Centre ) in Mississauga and Oakville.
Dr. FARID ABDEL-HADI, M.D., FRCS (C)
Dr. Farid Abdel-Hadi graduated from Cairo University medical school where he also obtained a clinical Master's Degree and clinical Medical Doctoral Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
He then subspecialized in fertility and IVF and helped launch a fertility centre in Cairo, Egypt as well as Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
In Canada, he went through residency training at University of Toronto and attended his Royal College fellowship. He also obtained a Master's Degree of Bioethics from University of Toronto.
Dr. Farid Abdel-Hadi is on staff at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Queen's University.
Dr. HAIDAR MAHMOUD, M.D., FRCS (C)
Dr. Haidar Mahmoud is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
He finished his residency training from the University of Toronto in 1995, and is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
Dr Mahmoud has also been an active staff member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Scarborough Hospital, and was a chief of Department for 10 years.
Dr Mahmoud is an active lecturer for both medical students and residents in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto, and has a special interest in quality improvement and patient safety.
He was awarded The Scarborough Hospital Award of Excellence in Medical Education in 2013.
Dr Mahmoud is highly skilled in Minimally Invasive Reproductive Surgery, with vast experience in treating uterine and pelvic related matter.
Dr. HARMONY HO, M.D., FRCS (C), REI
Dr. Harmony Ho is an Infertility Physician, receiving her Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Western University in London, Ontario.
She completed her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Western University, and her M.D. from the University of Calgary.
Dr. Ho is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Ho works to provide compassionate care in empowering patients to make personalized decisions based on the best available medical evidence.
Dr. KEITH JARVI, M.D., UROLOGIST
Consultant, IVF Canada
Dr.Jarvi acquired his medical degree from the University of Ottawa and is currently Professor, Division of Urology, Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto.
He is a consulting Urologist at Toronto's Mount Sinai Hospital and St. Michael's Hospital.
Throughout his training and career, Dr. Jarvi has been involved in much research involving male infertility.
He currently provides both the LIFE PROGRAM, at Toronto East General Hospital, and IVF Canada patients with consulting services for male factor infertility.
